Korean Mother of Pearl / Nacre / Lacquerware Cabinet

Made a 3D version of a cabinet/table that has been in my family for more than half a century. Photographs were converted into height maps, normal maps and ambient occlusion maps. Lots of hand-painting in Photoshop to fix issues with the height and normal maps due to the sheer detail of the pearl inlay design (along with other details such as distortion by lighting). Put it all together in Substance Painter. The images are screenshots in the standard viewport of 3ds max. The base 3D model is 30 polygons.
